Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Acceptance of terms

By using peekd.app or the Peekd Chrome extension (collectively, “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What Peekd does

Peekd lets you turn an article highlight or selection into a styled, downloadable quote card image. The Chrome extension reads the active page’s metadata and your selected text, then opens peekd.app with that data as URL parameters so you can compose and download a card.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you create with the Service and for ensuring you have the right to share quoted material. You agree not to:
  • Use the Service to create cards that infringe copyright, defame, or harass
  • Misrepresent the source of a quote, fabricate attributions, or alter quotes in a way intended to deceive
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service’s infrastructure
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable laws

Intellectual property

The Peekd software, branding, and website design are owned by us. Cards you create remain yours. Quoted material from third-party articles remains the property of its original publishers; the Service does not transfer any rights to that content.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that article metadata will be extracted accurately. Always verify quotes and attributions against the source before publishing.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peekd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
